2020 was quite the year, but not in the way that any of us had imagined when it began. Rather than the exciting year we all had planned, we sheltered in place, wore masks, sanitized, quarantined, and found new ways to manage our daily lives in the midst of a global pandemic. The event industry was hit so incredibly hard, with most of us losing nearly our full calendar of weddings and events. It was a punch to the gut every time we read about another small business that had to close down because they were not able to weather this seemingly never-ending storm.

What an amazing year this has been! Writing the end of year blog is always my favorite thing to do as it gives me another opportunity to revisit some of my favorite images we have taken this year…with some of our favorite people! As we look back on the year we have had we are so thankful for all of our amazing clients! We have had the pleasure of sharing some of your most important moments with you guys and it means the world to us that you had us capture them for you. This year we have shared so many laughs and emotional tears that is almost bittersweet that this year is coming to an end!

Amanda & Connor did their engagement session with us a few months ago, but since today feels like January I figured it was the perfect opportunity to share their photos. I struggled with how to title this blog because this session was SO MUCH MORE than just an engagement session! It was a engagement session, a family session, and a pregnancy reveal all wrapped up into one adorable package! I have known Amanda since we bought our home 5 years ago because she lives in our backyard. Not in the homeless vagrant kind of way, but she lives in the house behind mine...so I also live in her backyard.

Greycourt Park is by far one of our favorite spots to do photo sessions so it was the perfect place to recommend for Victoria & Jason's Maternity Session! Most people who make the drive up the big hill behind Methuen Town Hall are always shocked to find such a hidden gem in our town! It was also the most appropriate place for us to discuss this weeks Game of Thrones {Considering the remains of Tenney Castle do look like a battle had happened here many years ago!}
Downtown Newburyport MA Maternity Session {Massachusetts Maternity Photographers} Trenae & Theon
On Father's Day Anthony and I got to spend a beautiful morning with a first time expecting Mom and Dad in downtown Newburyport. Trenae and Theon are expecting their little boy Logan next month and were all smiles for their maternity session. We love talking to first time expecting parents because it really is one of the most exciting times, and its so much fun to see others experiencing it.

There is nothing better in the whole world to me than spending time with a pregnant woman. They're so beautiful, excited but still a bit nervous, and Juliann was no exception. We woke up bright and early to start out maternity session double header at Benson's Farm in Hudson NH {Click here to see Meaghan and Rob's session from the same day}. Benson's Park is a recently renovated park with gorgeous pathways and a giant pond in the center, but it used be It used to be Bensons Wild Animal Farm which housed a zoo and an animal farm.

After capturing my cousin Meaghan's wedding last year to her amazing husband Rob, we knew it would only be a matter of time until there would be another addition to their family! We were thrilled to get the call that they were expecting a little baby. Meaghan is one of those girls who you could barely tell had a bump until a few weeks ago so we pushed their session back to as close to her due date as possible.
