Union Bluff Meeting House, York ME Wedding {Maine Wedding Photographers} Kate & Nick

There is nothing more exciting than crossing the bridge into Maine, and that is especially true when you going there to capture a wedding for two of the nicest people we know on a perfect summer day! Kate and Nick's wedding was held at the Union Bluff Meeting House in York ME. One of the best parts about having your wedding at the Union Bluff is that everything is right outside of your room. Directly above the reception hall are hotel rooms and the bridal suite, with more hotel rooms next door. The ceremonies are held on the hotel's lawn overlooking the beach, which is directly across the street.

Kate was all nerves as she got ready with her bridesmaids, which was quickly calmed down by an impromptu dance party with her bridesmaids and the perfectly timed arrival of her gift from her soon to be Husband {Scroll down to see what made all the ladies in the room scream in excitement!} She looked stunning in her gown, and the last minute addition of the belt made her look flawless.

Nick was also nervous, but luckily his groomsmen where there to have a couple drinks at the hotel bar and talk a little golf to relax a bit before the ceremony. Nick has a tight knit group of friends who are avid golfers and certainly know how to party, so we knew we were in for a fun night.

Kate and Nick shared their first look on the rocks overlooking the ocean and it was by far the sweetest reaction from a Groom getting to see his future wife for the first time. It is so clear how much they love each other, and Nick couldn't help but gush about how beautiful his future Wife is as we took her portraits. They were then married on the lawn at the Union Bluff where funny stories were shared about the couple before announcing them as Husband and Wife!

One of the major bonuses of doing a first look is getting to attend your cocktail hour! Because we were able to get all their photos out of the way, Kate and Nick enjoyed the extra hour with their guests on the deck of the Union Bluff, and we even managed to get everyone in for a big group shot! The rest of the evening went off perfectly, from the hilarious toasts {or should I say roasts?} given by the Maid of Honor and Best Man, awesome food, and the dancing that lasted the entire evening. We were even lucky enough to sneak them outside for some beautiful sunset pictures.

We always say that the best part of what we get to do as photographers is going to amazing places and spending time with great people. Kate and Nick's wedding was the epitome of why we love what we do, and we are so thankful to have been a part of it.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Reusch!
